As a lawyer, university administrator, writer, and First Lady, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama has made an enormous impact on the world. Not only was she the first African American First Lady of the United States, but she also headed up several campaigns to better the world, including the “Let’s Move!” and “Let Girls Learn” initiatives.
She attended Princeton University, where she majored in sociology and minored in African-American studies, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in 1985. Michelle earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Harvard Law School in 1988.
Michelle was the First Lady of the United States from 2008 to 2016 and was an incredible example of grace, strength, and wisdom. She remains an inspirational public figure and a model of grace, intelligence, and compassion for all of us.
