“As an artist, I tell my story by applying color over black surfaces. Coloring out the darkness can feel hopeful, joyful, meditative, or even defiant. Color always reminds me that light is present. Without light there would be no color and there would be no us. A slash of color on black is a defiant act: darkness will not overcome the LIGHT!”
